Jacob Friedman
FFF Volusia Lead, Southern U.S. FFF Director
Jacob Friedman is a high school senior and has been involved with Fridays for Future since the September 2019 Global Climate Strike. Outside of the activism sphere, Jacob engages with environmental/climate science through research and education. Some of his research interests include microplastics, mangroves, and plant biochemistry.
In October 2022, Jacob realized the Volusia County youth demand for climate action and founded the Fridays for Future Volusia local group. Since then, he has also taken on greater responsibility within FFF USA. Jacob helps coordinate the local chapters in 12 southern U.S. states and Puerto Rico. Recently, Jacob Friedman was selected as a delegate to LCOY USA 2023 in Washington D.C., the United States precursor to COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.
